Spring has sprung here in North Carolina. Tony and I took some of the kids and went to the mountains to enjoy the sunshine. We found us a good trail and as the kids will always do, they found picture worthy items around every corner. This very old and very dead tree was no exception. In the end it turned out to be a really good picture taking tree.

Court of Honor - Troop 343

Anthony finished one phase of his scouting career today. He has been faithfully attending scouts for the last several years and today marked his completion of Cub Scouts. Troop 343 held a Court of Honor, where Anthony received several merit badges, his arrow of light and beads. Tony also received a certificate for all the time he spent as a Cub Scout Leader of the Bears.

Anthony's scout leaders really got involve with the boys this last couple of years and they had several really fun activities from cookouts and camp outs, to sleep ins and service projects, and we can't forget the infamous Pinewood Derby. Becky and Drew became really good friends with the boys and wanted to give them a farewell present. The boys loved it and Anthony uses his gifts every time we go hiking.

Anthony Baptized

Today was a pretty big day for Anthony.  After taking several missionary discussions and spending a lot of time talking to us, going to church and attending primary activities, Anthony made the decision to be baptized a member of the church.  Tony performed the baptism and confirmation. We are proud of him for his decision and know he will be a great example to the rest of the family and his friends.
